INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: Wash near Pershing Drive and Montrose Way, Adelanto
DECEDENT 1: Michael Williams, 35-years-old, Male Resident of Barstow
DECEDENT 2: 14-year-old, Male Resident of Barstow
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at about 6:15 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a wash area near Pershing Drive and Montrose Way, in Adelanto, for a man down call. When they arrived, they located two deceased males with gunshot wounds, and a firearm was located at the scene. Through investigation, the decedents were identified as Michael Williams and his son, a 14-year-old male juvenile.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded to the location and assumed the investigation. Both decedents were transported to the Coroner’s Office where it was determined Williams died by suicide. Investigators are still working to determine a cause of death for the juvenile.
