* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches. West to northwest winds gusting as high as 50 to 65 mph. Visibilities reduced to one-half mile or less at times.
* WHERE...Southern Alaska Peninsula, from King Cove west.
* WHEN...From 2 AM to 6 PM AKDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility at times. Strong winds may cause damage or blow items around.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst conditions are forecast between about 7 AM through 11 AM Sunday as winds quickly increase. By Sunday afternoon, temperatures at or above freezing will reduce the threat of heavy snow and blowing snow. However, strong winds will linger through the afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHERN ALASKA PENINSULA
