Theft at Campsite Leads to Felony Charge for Keith
Deputy Ryan Washburn with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 58-year-old Robert Dale Keith of Marion with felony Larceny and misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property. He received a secured bond of $5,000.
On April 8, Deputy Washburn spoke with an individual about a theft of items from a campsite on Curtis Creek. The caller stated that he and Keith had shared a campsite and that while he was away from his tent, Keith entered the tent and removed some of his personal belongings.
Evidence found during the investigation led to the charges.
