INCIDENT: Under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm
LOCATION: Intersection of Adobe Road and Desert Dunes Drive, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Gordon Farmer, 66-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at approximately 8:52 p.m., Morongo Basin Station deputies conducted proactive patrol in the city of Twentynine Palms. Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop regarding a vehicle code violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Gordon Farmer.
During a search of Farmer's vehicle, deputies located a firearm not registered to Farmer and discovered Farmer had ingested methamphetamine while in possession of the firearm. Farmer was placed under arrest for HS 11550(e), under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm.
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, deputies assigned to the Morongo Basin Station served a search warrant at Farmer's residence in Twentynine Palms and located suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
