1. Traffic Fatality (1818) Wilson Way and Harding Way, Park District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a multi-vehicle collision. On arrival, officers located the rider of a motorcycle deceased. Several other parties involved were transported to SJGH. Traffic officers responded and assisted with the investigation.
2. Weapon Arrest (0040) Hammer Lane and Tam O’Shanter Drive, Valley Oak District
Officers conducted a proactive traffic enforcement stop in the area. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun. ARRESTED: Markel Moore, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, for weapon violations.
3. Weapon Arrest (0335) Center Street and Harding Way, Civic District
Officers conducted a proactive traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle. As officers attempted to conduct a search of the vehicle, one occupant refused to exit and resisted arrest. Officers were able to detain the suspect and located two firearms in his waistband. ARRESTED: Angel Elaine Mata, 18, for weapon violations and resisting arrest. Mariah Campero, 18, for providing false identification.
