Four Arrested at Rancho Cucamonga DUI Checkpoint


Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. – On April 12, 2025, Deputies screened approximately 710 vehicles. Of the vehicles screened, 120 were sent for additional screening. In total, four people were arrested for DUI. 16 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, one person was arrested for other criminal charges. 

The DUI checkpoint was held at Foothill Boulevard and Highridge Place, from 6:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m..

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

The next DUI checkpoint will be held in August 2025.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
