Sex Offender Arrest

On 04/15/25 at approximately 7:08pm, Janesville Police were requested to locate Bryan Kind by the Department of Corrections who had an active felony warrant.  Kind is on GPS monitoring and had been tampering with his GPS bracelet.  Several officers responded to the area and established a perimeter around the last location of the GPS bracelet. 
 
Officer Kinsella deployed K9 Viktos into the area for a search for the suspect.  During the search Department of Corrections notified officers Bryan Kind had now removed the GPS bracelet.  K9 Viktos eventually located Kind hiding in tall grass in the 600 blk of N. Parker Dr.  Kind attempted to run and was quickly apprehended by K9 Viktos. 
 
Kind was treated and medically cleared from a local hospital and held at the Rock County Jail. 
 
Kind is a lifetime sex offender registrant for previous convictions of 948.12 – Possession of Child Pornography.

946.465 – Tampering With GPS
946.41(1) – Resist/Obstruct an Officer
961.573(1) – Possess Drug Paraphernalia
973.10 (1) – Probation/Parole Violation
