Delinquent property tax notices were sent out this week. Unpaid taxes will accrue 1% interest on the 1st of each month until they are paid. They are subject to publication.
Tax payments are accepted online at www.stjamessheriff.com and in person at the Convent Courthouse (5800 Highway 44 in Convent) or at the Vacherie SubOffice (2631 Highway 20 in Vacherie) from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
The 2024 property tax sale is scheduled to be held Thursday, June 26, 2025.
