UPDATE: Police investigate large disturbance with shots fired
UPDATE:
The investigation shows that on the night of this incident, a verbal disturbance occurred outside of a tavern which was broken up by officers on foot patrol. The two groups met at End Park, where a physical altercation started between two male adults. During the fight, members from both sides armed themselves with handguns, which eventually led to gunfire being exchanged by both sides. Thankfully, nobody was struck by gunfire or seriously injured during this incident.
The responsible suspects are both male and female and range in age from 19 to 24 years old. They reside in Sheboygan, Chicago, Milwaukee, or Fond du Lac. As of 4/16/25, we have taken 10 people into custody during this ongoing investigation. Four suspects are still outstanding, and when this investigation concludes, we expect to have 14 people in custody and referred to the District Attorney’s Office for charging. The charges range from 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct while armed, disorderly conduct, and violations of city park curfew.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
On 3/30/25 around 0200 hours, the Sheboygan Police Department received several calls from citizens regarding hearing gunshots being fired in the area of End Park, 1236 Bell Avenue. Responding officers located numerous spent shell casings in the roadway around the park. A preliminary investigation revealed that there was a large disturbance between approximately 20 people in the park, and in the immediate area surrounding the park. During the disturbance, at least two subjects fired a weapon. No injuries were reported and at this time it is not believed that anyone was struck by gunfire. At this time it is believed that this was a disturbance between at least two groups of people that were known to each other. There is not believed to be any danger to the community at this time. We have identified some of the suspects involved and are continuing to attempt to locate and interview the other people involved in this disturbance. There are no suspects in custody at this time.
