Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges.
On April 15, at approximately 11:11 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 500 block of Lafayette Boulevard. At this time, a passenger fled from the vehicle on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took 22-year-old Jermaine Winckler into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, a .38 caliber handgun, and a loaded .40 caliber handgun that had previously been reported stolen.
Winckler has been charged with the following offenses:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Three Counts
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $80,000 cash-only bail.
