On Friday, April 11, 2025, members of the Middle Township Police Department's Major Crimes Unit, executed a Court-authorized search warrant with the assistance of the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Guns, Gangs, Narcotics Task Force, at the Meadowbrook Motel 605 North Wildwood Boulevard, located in the Burleigh section of Middle Township. As a result of the Court-authorized search warrant, Samuel "Bobby" Love (55 years old) and Jaime Hess (45 years old) of that address were found to be in possession of over one-half ounce of methamphetamine, over 400 prescription pills, an amount of cocaine, an amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Love and Hess were charged, processed and released on a summons pending court.
 
Hess was charged with:
2C:36-3- Possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia (4th Degree)
2C:35-10.5a(4)- Possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs (2nd Degree) (3 counts)
2C:35-10.5a(3)- Possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs (3rd Degree) (5 counts)
2C:35-10a(1)- Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (3rd Degree)
 
Love was charged with:
2C:35-5B(9)(A)- Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine (2nd Degree)
2C:35-10a(1)- Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (3rd Degree) (3 counts)
2C:35-5b(3)- Possession with intent to distribute Cocaine (3rd Degree)
2C:35-10.5a(4)- Possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs (2nd Degree) (3 counts)
2C:35-10.5a(3)- Possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs (3rd Degree) (5 counts)
2C:36-3- Possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia (4th Degree)
2C:5-2a- Conspiracy to commit Distribution of Narcotics
