On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at approximately 7:43 A.M., the Transit Services Bureau received a call regarding a person who had been stabbed at Sierra Madre Metro Passenger Station.
Deputies quickly arrived on scene, along with Pasadena Fire Department, and found the victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries to his upper torso. The victim was deemed to be in critical but stable condition.
The suspect was quickly arrested by deputies for attempted murder and booked at Temple Sheriff’s Station.
This incident was not random and stemmed from two male adults who were involved in a verbal argument which led to a physical altercation, ultimately resulting in the victim being stabbed.
While the suspect was wearing a security guard uniform, it is important to note the suspect was not employed by or contracted with Metro and was utilizing the Metro system for transportation purposes.
Captain Shawn Kehoe stated, “The Sheriff’s Department is dedicated to protecting our Metro ridership. The Transit Services Bureau stands with our Metro partners in keeping all our patrons and operators safe as we take each crime extremely serious and exhaust all measures to quickly capture suspects posing a threat to the Metro system and passengers.”
