(Ogden Dunes, Indiana)  Prescribed fire is an important management tool for habitats in our community.  Our burning only occurs with a plan (or perscription) and with the appropriate weather, fuel, and staffing conditions.  This afternoon TODAY, Friday afternoon, April 18, 2025, Ogden Dunes Fire Department personnel trained in wildland and prescribed fire management will be working to conduct a prescribed burn of Long Lake Marsh between Diana Court and Diana Road.  

Please use caution when driving in this area on Diana Road between Deer Trail and Indian Camp Trail.  Fire crews are on scene and will patrol the area after the fire, do not call 911 for smoke and small flames.
