INCIDENT: Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Crash
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road / Mesa View Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM(S): Deceased Male Adult - Pending Identification and Next of Kin Notification
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 19, 2025, at approximately 12:56 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station, and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a traffic crash on Bear Valley Road, west of the intersection with Mesa View Drive, in the city of Victorville.
Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male. It was determined the male was struck by an unknown vehicle. Following the crash, the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
The Victorville Police Station Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation. It was learned the suspect vehicle drove west on Bear Valley Road. The front end of the vehicle struck the pedestrian as the pedestrian crossed the roadway. Following the crash, the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The investigation is still ongoing, and investigators are asking for assistance from the public to develop suspect leads.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Bear Valley Road was closed for the duration of the investigation.
