When Officer Hansen stopped to arrest Joshua Sokolik, Joshua Sokolik fled on foot. Joshua Sokolik was found hiding under a deck at a near by residence. Joshua Sokolik refused to follow commands to come out from under the deck.
Officer Kinsella deployed K9 Viktos who engaged and assisted in apprehending Joshua Sokolik under the deck.
Joshua Sokolik was arrested and transported to the Rock County Jail.

On 04/19/25 at approximately 3:35 pm, Janesville Police Officer Hansen saw Joshua Sokolik near the intersection of S. Jackson St. and W. Racine St. Joshua Sokolik was wanted by the Janesville Police Department for retail theft, trespassing, and resisting an officer charges. Sokolik was also a suspect for Beloit Police Department in a recent retail theft. Joshua Sokolik also had two warrants for his arrest for Retail Theft, Disorderly Conduct, and Bail Jumping.When Officer Hansen stopped to arrest Joshua Sokolik, Joshua Sokolik fled on foot.
