March 30th
Grand Theft – Arlington Blvd. / Club View Ln.
At 7:00 AM, an officer reports suspect(s) stole copper wire sometime overnight.
Vandalism – 700 block of Norvell St.
At 2:29 hours, an officer reports a suspect threw a rock through the front window of the residence between 7:00 PM on 3/29/2025 and 7:00 AM on 3/30/2025.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Wall Ave. / San Pablo Ave.
At 7:02 PM, an officer received a FLOCK notification for a stolen vehicle. The officer circulated the area and located the stolen vehicle unoccupied. The vehicle was released on scene.
Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave. / Hill St.
At 7:16 PM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the investigation, officers found the driver to have an active warrant for their arrest. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
March 31st
Warrant Arrest - 11755 San Pablo Ave. (El Cerrito Honda):
At 12:04 AM, officers were dispatched to the business for a report of a suspicious person camping on the property. Upon arrival, officers contacted the subject and discovered the subject had an active parole warrant. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Vehicle Theft – 11847 San Pablo Ave. (Antonio’s Garage):
At 9:07 AM, an officer reports a suspect rented a tow dolly and failed to return it at the agreed time.
Residential Burglary - 1300 Block of Linda Vista Dr.
At 1:20 AM, an officer reports a suspect entered the victim’s and stole property prior to police arrival.
April 1st
Shoplifting / Obstructing a Peace Officer / Warrant Arrest – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 7:36 AM, the suspect stole items and was confronted outside by store employees. Employees flagged down officers regarding the theft. The suspect attempted to walk away, and pulled his arm away from the officer. Officers quickly detained the suspect. During the investigation, officers found the suspect had multiple warrants for their arrest. The suspect was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Stolen License Plates – 10650 San Pablo Ave. (24-Hour Fitness Parking Lot):
At 9:03 AM, the victim reports that their license plate was stolen off their vehicle.
Home Invasion Robbery / Theft from Auto / Auto Burglary / Attempted Auto Burglary / Providing False Identification to a Peace Officer / Possession of Burglary Tools / Warrant Arrest – 2000 block of Junction Ave.
At 4:40 PM, a suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole the key to the residence. The suspect then entered the victim’s residence and ordered the victim’s family out of the house. The suspect stole items from inside the house and fled prior to police arrival. Officers located the suspect fleeing the area on foot and detained them. The victim positively identified the suspect, and their property still found in the suspect’s possession. During the investigation, officers found the suspect was on parole for kidnapping and had an active warrant for a parole violation. The suspect was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Recovered Stolen Plate / Stolen Plate – Stockton Ave. / Norvell St.
At 12:36 AM, officers located a parked vehicle with a stolen license plate. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and realized the license plate that belonged to the vehicle had been stolen and replaced with a stolen license plate.
Warrant Arrest – 10636 San Pablo Ave. (24-Hour Fitness):
At 12:34 AM, officers conducted a suspicious vehicle check. During the investigation, officers found the driver had several outstanding warrants for their arrest. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
April 2nd
Domestic Battery / Prevent Person from Calling 911 – 10700 block of San Pablo Ave.
At 7:12 AM, the victim reports that during a verbal argument, the suspect ripped the phone from the victim’s hand as the victim was calling 911. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspect. The suspect was then booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Grand Theft – Liberty St. / Waldo Ave.
At 7:26 AM, the victim reports their catalytic converter was stolen sometime overnight.
Grand Theft – 900 Block of Liberty St.
At 6:00 PM, the victim reports their catalytic converter was stolen sometime overnight.
Auto Burglary – 5800 Block of San Diego St.
At 1:36 AM, the victim reports their vehicle was broken into, and items inside were stolen.
April 3rd
Grand Theft – 800 block of Elm St.
At 9:39 AM, the victim reports that their catalytic converter was stolen from their vehicle.
April 4th
Petty Theft – 500 block of Norvell St.
At 1:48 PM, an officer reports a suspect entered an unlocked vehicle and stole property sometime between 6:00 PM on 04/03/2025 and 9:00 AM on 04/04/2025.
Petty Theft / Possession of a Drug Paraphernalia - San Pablo Ave. / Central Ave.
At 6:30 PM, an officer reports a victim had left their property on a bus bench when a suspect took it. The victim’s mother was able to “ping” the property at a nearby park and retrieved the item from the suspect. The victim wanted to press charges and called the police. Officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspect. During a search incident to arrest, the suspect was found to be in possession of a glass pipe used for smoking methamphetamine. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.
April 5th
Warrant Arrest – 2000 El Cerrito Plaza (Ross):
At 10:44 PM, officers were dispatched to the area for a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers contacted the subject and discovered the subject had an active citable warrant for their arrest. The subject was arrested and issued a citation for the warrant on scene.
