1. Assault With a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1945) 1900 Block of Quail Lakes Drive, Lakeview District
The male victim, 35, and the suspect got into an argument when the suspect broke the victim’s windshield and tried to punch him. As the victim fled in his vehicle, the suspect fired at least one round from a handgun at the victim, striking his vehicle one time in the driver’s door. The victim was uninjured. The suspect turned himself in and was taken into custody without incident. A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a loaded handgun. ARRESTED: Kelvin Johnson, 24, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapons charges.
2. Robbery (0001) 1600 Block of North Wilson Way, Park District
The female victim, 60, was near the call location when two suspects approached her. The female suspect punched the victim, and the male suspect stole her property. Both suspects fled the area. SUSPECTS: A Hispanic male and a Hispanic female.
3. Pursuit Arrest (0145) Diamond Street and Anderson Street, Park District
Officers attempted to conduct an enforcement stop on a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit. Officers were able to disable the vehicle. The driver fled on foot but was taken into custody a short distance away. ARRESTED: A 16-year-old male for possession of a stolen vehicle and felony evading.
