Deputies Investigate a Surge in Fentanyl Related Overdoses and Arrest a Suspected Dealer in the Needles Area

LOCATION: 600 Block of D Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Arthur Wilder, 39-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, April 10, 2025, at about 11:00 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station conducted a narcotics investigation in response to a recent surge in fentanyl related overdoses in the Needles area. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted Arthur Wilder, who is a suspected fentanyl dealer in the Needles area. During the investigation, deputies located a large quantity of suspected fentanyl and U.S. currency in Wilder's possession. Deputies searched Wilder's residence, where additional evidence was recovered.
Wilder was arrested and booked at the Colorado River Station jail. Wilder was also found to have an outstanding warrant for VC 14601.2(A) - Driving on a Suspended License for DUI. Wilder remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
