The Borough of Leonia is proposing the development of a new, multi-use, three-story community center designed to serve the needs of our residents and Borough staff.  The Leonia Community Center project represents a commitment by the municipality to proactively solve long-term facilities issues through the combination of the Leonia Fire Department, Leonia Recreation Center, and Borough Administrative Offices into one building. The project entails the construction of a centralized municipal facility including a full gymnasium on the site currently occupied by the Recreation Department, as well as the adjacent gas station. 
 
We have submitted this project to the Office of Congressman Josh Gottheimer for earmark funding consideration.  It only takes 1 minute of your time to show your support!  Simply click on the link below to register your support for the Leonia Community Center. The Leonia Community Center will only be constructed if full grant or earmark funding is awarded to the Borough.  Your support will be transmitted to Congressman Gottheimer's office as an example of the community's commitment to our vision, and will encourage the Congressman to select our project proposal as a Fiscal Year 2026 Community Project.
