DETAILS: On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 7:07 a.m., Amarillo Police Officers were dispatched to House of Donuts at 1615 N. Grand Street on an aggravated robbery.
A male suspect entered the business wearing a black hoodie and a black bandana. He pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No injuries were reported. This incident remains under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department.

**update 5:27PM**
While officers were on scene working on this robbery, a possible suspect was identified. APD officers and professional staff from the ARCC (Amarillo Regional Crime Center), Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit and TFO (task force officers), along with patrol worked together to locate and take him into custody. Jordan Cervantes, 22, was arrested for the robbery, along with 5 municipal warrants and tampering with evidence that officers observed while taking him into custody. Cervantes was booked into the Potter County Jail for the charges. This incident is still under investigation.
