The Albany Water Department will be shutting the 8” Water Main on Morris Street between South Main Avenue and West Lawrence Street to install two valves that will allow us to isolate the price chopper’s feeds if we have a break on either side of the block. This work will take place overnight to minimize impact on Price Chopper. The shut is scheduled for 10pm-2am this Friday 4/25. Notifications have been distributed.

The Albany Water Department will be shutting the water off on North Allen Street between Manning Boulevard and Central Avenue to replace a valve at the SW corner of Central Avenue & North Allen Street. This work was scheduled with input from the businesses on the block. Pepperjack’s, McVeigh Funeral home, Capital Region Furniture Bank, Orlo School of Hair Design, The Universal Church, and Westview homes have all been notified directly. Tebutt & Frederick Funeral Home has been notified we will be working across the street from them as well. Notifications have been distributed today to the remaining properties.
