Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary following an investigation.
On April 14, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 900 block of North French Street, in reference to a burglary. The case was assigned to Detective John O’Connor of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective O’Connor identified 47-year-old Jomar Brown as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On April 22, police located Brown in the 300 block of East 9th Street, and took him into custody without incident.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Second Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Theft of a Firearm
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $13,000 cash-only bail.
