Clam Jam
On Saturday, April 26th from Noon – 4:00 pm Fairfield University will host its annual Clam Jam student event at Penfield Beach featuring live music and concessions. Over the past 10-years, the Town and University have collaborated to ensure this event minimizes disruption while providing students with a safe and fun environment.
Capacity for the event is capped at 1800, and limited to Seniors and Juniors. The University has hired Parks and Recreation and DPW for cleaning during and after the event, as well as the required number of police officers and fire officials as recommended by these departments. Portable restrooms will be placed in the vicinity of the event. The University will provide transportation for all students coming to and from campus to minimize alternate transportation methods such as Uber.
Please be advised that during the start and end of this event, there will be pedestrian traffic throughout the area.
