Traffic Advisory: 2025 Turtle Crawl Races April 26 
The annual Turtle Crawl races will be held on Jekyll Island on Saturday, April 26, 2025, to kick off sea turtle nesting season in Georgia.
Turtle Crawl Races will take place in and around the National Historic Landmark District.
Road Closure
Stable Road will be closed to traffic just south of the former fire station to the 3-way stop on Riverview Drive into the historic district from approximately 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Please be advised that there will be brief traffic delays and road congestion throughout the island as the races occur. There will be brief closures along bike paths around the historic district for 5K and 10K runners. 1K/Fun Run participants will be utilizing Pier Road.
Please plan your travels ahead of time and use caution.
Motorists and bicyclists should use caution and pay attention for runners traveling on Riverview Drive running south from the Horton House to the airport, and on Old Plantation Road crossing Capt. Wylly and Stable Roads.
Designated parking is marked for Turtle Crawl participants, vendors, and spectators, but all public parking is first-come, first-served.
