Flood Warning until 01:00PM Friday

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana... Mississippi River At Reserve affecting St. James, St. John The Baptist and St. Charles Parishes. Mississippi River At Donaldsonville affecting Ascension Parish. Mississippi River At Baton Rouge affecting East Baton Rouge and West Baton Rouge Parishes. Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana Parishes. For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing, Baton Rouge, Donaldsonville, Reserve, New Orleans...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Reserve.

* WHEN...Until Friday, May 09.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Slow-bell procedures will be enacted for river transportation.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 23.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 23.8 feet Thursday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday, May 09. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
