Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on April 27, 2025 at approximately 0202 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Oak Grove Rd. and M 60, Cassopolis, Jefferson Township, Cass County, Michigan. 

The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Ariana Watkins ( 25yr old of Niles, MI) failed to navigate the right turn onto M 60 and veered off the roadway and rolled the vehicle. 

Watkins had a  juvenile passenger who was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.  Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.  It is unknown if a seat belt was worn.

Assisting agencies were Central Cass FD and Edwardsburg Ambulance.

The incident remains under investigation.
