Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on April 28, 2025, at approximately 0830 hours, Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a house fire at 55550 Twin Lake Rd, Wayne Twp., Cass County MI. 
 
The investigation showed that a Mobile Home Trailer caught fire, and by the time fire crews were able to put the fire out, a male inside the home had succumbed to the fire. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. 
 
 
Assisting agencies were Central Cass FD, Wayne FD, Dowagiac FD and SMCAS Ambulance.
 
The incident remains under investigation.
