San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District Open House – May 1, 2025, 5:00 – 7:30 pm. Ripon Police Department EOC 
Following last year’s record outbreak of invasive Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District will host an Open House in Ripon in order to highlight the District’s mosquito surveillance and control efforts. The Open House will give residents the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the program.
The Open House will focus on introducing a new, non-chemical mosquito control method. Staff will explain how the program works, which areas will be targeted, and why the City of Ripon was selected for this initiative. The team will also share the logistics behind the operation to ensure the best possible service to the community.
District staff — including Mosquito Control Technicians, Regional Supervisors, the Operations Superintendent and Lab personnel— will be on-site. There will be several exhibits, tools, and District vehicles used in the program on display.
This event supports the District’s mission to provide San Joaquin County residents with protection through prevention by using the most advanced technologies and operations available.
