Activity for April 25-27, 2025: Officers responded to 193 calls for service, made 17 arrests, and 49 traffic stops.

April 25, 2025:

  • Officer Soloman conducted a traffic stop at East Biddle Street and Orchard Place. The 47-year-old male driver was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Detective Galbreath made contact with a subject in the 900 block of Lincoln Street. A 47-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Soloman attempted to speak with a subject in the 300 block of Reed Manor, and the subject fled on foot. The 22-year-old male subject was located and arrested for possession of narcotics; possession of narcotic paraphernalia; resisting and obstructing; and conditional bond violation.
  • Officer Bean responded to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Mason Street for a warrant pick-up. A 53-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Brooker was dispatched to the 300 block of North Blackstone Street for a breaking and entering report. Multiple firearms were entered into the national database as stolen.
  • Officer Hogan responded to the 1200 block of South West Avenue for a vehicle that was just stolen. Officer Hogan located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. The vehicle was later located by a JSO deputy, where they were able to arrest the 62-year-old male driver on several felony charges.
  • Officer Schram conducted a traffic stop near East Michigan Avenue and Seymour Avenue. The 48-year-old male driver was arrested for possession of narcotics, and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officer Schram was dispatched to the 200 block of Third Street for a disorderly subject. A 35-year-old female was arrested for conditional bond violation.
April 26, 2025:           
  • Officer Brooker responded to a domestic dispute in the 900 block of North Blackstone Street. A 53-year-old male was arrested on several outstanding warrants.
  • Officer Brooker was dispatched to the 500 block of Blackman Avenue for a warrant pick-up. A 48-year-old male was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
  • Officers responded to the 2200 block of East Ganson Street for a domestic dispute. Detective Brooks located the suspect near Tyson Street and South Dwight Street. The 21-year-old male suspect was arrested for domestic assault, and conditional bond violation.
  • Officer Simon made contact with subjects at Birchwood Drive and Elmdale Drive. A 29-year-old male was arrested for violating a personal protection order.
  • Officer Justice and Officer Mills made contact with a subject in the 1600 block of East Michigan Avenue. The 37-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
  • Officer Panther made contact with a wanted subject at West Michigan Avenue and Wildwood Avenue. The 28-year-old male was arrested on multiple outstanding felony warrants.
  • Sergeant Thoresen conducted a traffic stop near Steward Avenue and West Ganson Street, and the vehicle fled. The 44-year-old male driver eventually stopped, and was arrested for fleeing and eluding; driving while intoxicated; driving without a license; possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle; possession of narcotics; and smuggling contraband into the jail.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Bates Street for shots fired. Casings were located in the area. About an hour and a half later, officers responded to the 200 block of Bates Street again for shots fired. Officers located casings in the roadway.
April 27, 2025:
  • Officer Tenney responded to the 300 block of Van Buren Street for a disorderly subject. A 25-year-old male was arrested for violating a personal protection order; violating his parole conditions; and resisting and obstructing.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Gilbert Street for several disorderly subjects. A 22-year-old male was arrested for resisting and obstructing, and an outstanding warrant. A 36-year-old female received a citation for disorderly conduct.
  • Officers responded to a traffic crash at East High Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. A 58-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and child endangerment.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Mechanic Street for a domestic dispute where the suspect stole the victim’s vehicle when fleeing the area. The 28-year-old male suspect was located and arrested for unlawfully driving away an automobile; probation violation; and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Officer Mills located the vehicle at Carl Breeding Way and Stanley Avenue; the vehicle had been involved in an accident with heavy front end damage after being stolen. It was determined a vehicle on High Street had been struck. Additional charges will be sought on the male.
