Wilmington Police arrest man on drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On April 25, at approximately 5:45 p.m., members of the Special Operations Division Traffic Unit were in the 1200 block of North King Street, when they observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations. Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, at which time the vehicle disregarded and fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the 300 block of East 16th Street, where 30-year-old Oliver Cephus was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered 174 grams of marijuana, and .51 grams of fentanyl.
Cephus has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
