Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. seeks the public’s help identifying the female suspect pictured below, who shoplifted merchandise from a supermarket on Monday, April 21, 2025.
At approximately 5:40 p.m., the suspect and a male were captured on surveillance video in the spice aisle at Emporium Supermarket in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue. The suspect took several items, estimated at $100.00, from the store shelves and left without paying. She wore a gray and orange hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, and flip-flops.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
