* Until 730 PM CDT.
* At 644 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Iraan, or 15 miles northwest of Sheffield, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Crockett County.
* AFFECTED AREAS: CROCKETT, TX
Instructions:
People outside should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo.
