Road Closures
On Sunday May 4th Raritan Avenue will be closed to traffic from 2nd through 5th Avenues from approximately 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Expect heavy traffic and possible delays due to detours which will direct traffic to alternate routes. Be aware of parking restrictions in effect along Raritan Avenue, Magnolia Street, Denison Street, and several other streets that intersect Raritan Avenue. If you are parked in violation of the parking restrictions, your vehicle is subject to being towed.
Special attention to north side residents. A 5k race scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. will travel through several streets on the north side. If you are a resident of any of the following streets, it is recommended that you move any parked vehicles from the street and refrain from driving until runners are clear of the course.

Highland Park Spring Street Fair, Earth Day and 5K is this Sunday, May 4th
This Sunday, May 4, Highland Park will be hosting its Annual 5k race, Spring Fling Street Fair, and Earth Day Fair, so be sure to get your friends and family together to join the fun!

- Highland Park 5k: Starting at 9am at the High School, come take a run, walk, or stroll through the downtown and beautiful neighborhoods in town! There will also be kids races that will take place at 10am on the track. For more information and to register, visit runinthepark.org.
- Street Fair: After the 5k, Come on down to the Annual Highland Park Spring Fling Street Fair and enjoy a day of family fun with original and interesting arts & crafts, artists, crafters, vendors, food, rides, live music, DJ, performances and more!
- Earth Day Fair: Right in the middle of the Street Fair, Sustainable Highland Park will be hosting the Earth Day Fair, where visitors can enjoy environmental demonstrations, a giveaway of free native plants, a rain barrel building activity, and much more!
