INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Monte Vista Road/Dos Palmas Road, Victorville
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at approximately 3:49 a.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station, and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic crash that occurred near the intersection of Monte Vista Road and Dos Palmas Road, in the city of Victorville.
Upon arrival, it was determined a white Ford F-150 drove southbound on Monte Vista Road and struck a male riding a motorized mobility scooter in the roadway. The male, later identified as Richard Anthony Myers, 48 of Victorville, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Members of the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.
Monte Vista Road and Dos Palmas Road were closed for the duration of the investigation.
