Traffic Advisory: USCB to host graduation ceremony on May 2 
The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) will hold its Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 2, 2025, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and concluding at approximately 7 p.m.
The ceremony will take place at USCB's Bluffton Campus and it is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 2,000 attendees.
To help manage traffic following the event, one eastbound lane of Highway 278 at East Campus Drive will be temporarily closed to allow vehicles to exit the university safely access the highway. This temporary closure will occur immediately following the ceremony and will be managed on-site by officers from both the University of South Carolina Beaufort and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Motorists in the area are advised to use caution and anticipate brief delays during this time.
