Old Fort Man Receives Multiple Drug Charges
Deputy Gabe Eudy with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 64-year-old Thomas Robert White of Old Fort with the following:
• Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
• Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Misdemeanor Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana (up to ½ ounce)
• Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He received a secured bond of $5,000.
On March 30, Deputy Eudy responded to a residence in Old Fort after the caller reported a possible home invasion.
Deputy Eudy did not locate anyone in the home; however, suspected amounts of methamphetamine and fentanyl, marijuana, oxycodone (5mg) and drug paraphernalia were found.
