Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying a male theft suspect in an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
At approximately 4:34 p.m., a worker at a business in the 200 block of Emmet Street, left the front office of the storefront to address an issue in another area. When the worker left the store, the suspect entered, went behind the register, and removed $610.00 from the register. The suspect is described as having a dark-brown complexion and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood on his head, black shorts, and blue NY Yankees sandals.
