One woman dead in early morning homicide on S. Mirror.

Homicide Investigation – 2000 Block of S. Mirror
Amarillo, TX – Early Sunday morning, May 4, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Amarillo Police Department patrol officers in the 2000 block of South Mirror Street heard multiple gunshots in the area and immediately responded. Simultaneously, Amarillo Emergency Communications received 911 calls reporting gunfire, and officers were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple shell casings in the roadway. While securing the scene and conducting a preliminary investigation, officers were able to identify witnesses who informed them that a gunshot victim had been transported to a local hospital by private vehicle.
The victim, identified as 20-year-old Ariana Nicole Estrada, was later pronounced deceased at the hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded and took over the investigation. Through investigative efforts, officers identified the suspect as Estrada’s boyfriend.
David Allen Crowder, 21, was taken into custody without incident and interviewed by Homicide detectives. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center on a charge of Murder.
