At 1132 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southeast of Montoya, or 16 miles southwest of Tucumcari, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Tucumcari. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 316 and 336. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 92 and 105.
