INCIDENT: Major Injury Traffic Crash
LOCATION: Mojave Drive/ Diamond Road, Victorville
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 4, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station, and rescue personnel from the Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response, responded to a three vehicle traffic crash that occurred near the intersection of Mojave Drive and Diamond Road, in the city of Victorville.
Upon arrival, it was determined the driver of a gray Ford Mustang drove eastbound on Mojave Drive and lost control on the wet roadway. The Ford struck the center median and went into the westbound #1 lane of Mojave Drive. A white Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Mojave Drive in the #1 lane, followed by a white Mercedes-Benz GLA. The Ford crashed head-on into the Honda, spun around, and crashed into the Mercedes-Benz before it came to rest.
The driver of the Honda sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center. The driver of the Ford also sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was not injured.
A member of the Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation. Mojave Drive between Diamond Road and Cobalt Road was closed for the duration of the investigation.
