The Borough of Fair Haven is preparing to begin the removal of the old Police Department building, with demolition expected to start on Wednesday, May 7. Prior to this, all asbestos abatement was completed on May 2, in full compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Weather permitting, the building demolition will take approximately one day, followed by two to three days of debris removal from the site. While we anticipate a smooth process, timelines may shift slightly, and we will continue to keep the community updated along the way.
 
As this work begins, we kindly ask all residents — especially parents — to encourage children to stay away from the site. Although the area will be fully secured with fencing and monitored by law enforcement, the nature of the work makes it important to avoid unnecessary foot traffic nearby.
