Due to his noncompliance, criminal history and other safety concerns, the Meridian/Garden City Special Tactics Group (STG) responded to assist in managing the barricade situation.
As a result, roads on Loretta Street between Linder Road and Molly Way were temporarily closed to ensure public safety and provide officers with the space needed to manage the situation.
After several hours attempting to get THAYER to surrender peacefully, members of STG ultimately made entry into the residence and located
THAYER who was unresponsive. He was provided with immediate medical attention and transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
