ATTENTION LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS: A fox found on Villanova Dr has tested POSITIVE for rabies after contact with a neighborhood pet.
If you or your pets had ANY contact with a fox in the past 14 days, please call the Lawrence Township Health Department IMMEDIATELY at (609) 844-7092.
Signs of rabid animals:
Aggressive or vicious behavior ("furious" rabies)
Dazed appearance with partial/total paralysis ("dumb" rabies)
Trouble walking, appearing "drunk"
REMINDER: All cats and dogs MUST have current rabies vaccinations by NJ state law. Please check your pet's records today!
