Green Bay Police Arrest Suspect Following Reported Welfare Check; 600 Block of Pine Street
The Green Bay Police Department has arrested a 36-year-old Green Bay woman following a reported welfare check that resulted in a disturbance at a residence near downtown.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Pine Street just before 5:15 p.m. following witness reports that a woman was yelling and throwing items from an apartment window.
During the incident, carbon monoxide detectors had activated. As a precautionary measure, Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) temporarily shut off gas to the building, and tenants were evacuated.
The suspect was taken into custody around 8:30 p.m.
GBPD SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team were on scene to attempt to reach a peaceful surrender.
Streets in the surrounding area have reopened.
