| The Thousand Oaks Police Charitable Foundation in conjunction with Assembly Member Jacqui Irwin, representing District 42, and the Conejo Recreation and Park District, would like to invite you to join us at the first annual Conejo Valley Disabilities Fair. This is a free event designed to bring awareness to our disabled community and their family and friends, about all the many wonderful opportunities and services available to them in and around the Conejo Valley. There will be a wide variety of over 50 vendors there, who will be showcasing the services they provide, including employment opportunities, sports programs, education services, youth and adult activities, caregiving, medical support, and many more. There will be many activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a DJ, dancing, bounce house, face painting, and activities led by the Special Olympics. We will also have a touch-a-truck area highlighting many of the specialized teams and their equipment within the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, such as a helicopter from the Air Unit, SWAT, Bomb Squad, Tactical Response Team, K9, and the Mounted Unit. The Ventura County Fire Department will have a fire engine on display, and we will have other fun larger vehicles there from MV Transportation, Ventura County Auxiliary Communications, and local companies like Athens Services and Platinum Tow. We want to extend a warm thank you to our community partners whose generous donations have made this event possible. Thank you, UCLA Health, Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Syndicated Insurance Agency, LLC, Shaver Auto, and Whitman Peterson. And a special thank you to the Lions Clubs of Conejo Valley, Camarillo-Somis, and Pleasant Valley, who will both be providing and preparing the food for the event, and the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks, who will be providing dessert.
