Danville Property Owners: Don’t forget to vote by May 20 on LLAD funding for parks, streetlights and landscaping
Ballots were mailed at the beginning of April, and must be received by the Town by May 20 at 5 p.m. Still deciding? Here are some fast facts:
- The existing LLAD has been in place since 1983, with no increase since 2003.
- LLAD funds are restricted to by law for use in maintaining parks, street lights, and landscaping.
- Town maintenance costs are up 78% since 2003, largely driven by utility costs.
- The proposed LLAD would help fill this funding gap and avoid reducing maintenance standards.
- Your property’s existing and proposed LLAD assessment is on your ballot – a majority “yes” vote means the proposed replaces the existing.
- Ballots are due May 20 by 5 pm, either by return mail or dropped off at the Town Offices.
