Road Closures in Winterville for Marigold Festival on Sat., May 10 
A number of road closures in the Winterville area will take place on Sat., May 10 due to the Marigold Festival events.
- 7:00 AM - Closure of Smithonia Road at Charlie Bolton for the 10K race. Traffic coming out of Oglethorpe County will be detoured down Charlie Bolton Rd. to Lem Edwards Rd.
- 7:30 AM - Lineup begins for the parade, which begins at 10:00 AM. Closure of Main Street from Parkview to the Winterville Baptist Church and all of Church Street, as well as any side streets coming into Main Street in that area.
Closure and detour will last until the race is complete. Main Street and Smithonia Road will reopen after the parade is complete, but will be congested throughout the day.
Events continue until approximately 8:00 PM. Traffic will be heavy in the area throughout the day. Festival visitors are encouraged to carpool or use ride sharing and to be patient when driving in the area and seeking parking.
