Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle in the listed area. The suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. ARRESTED: Savon Perez, 27, for weapon charges.
2. Battery on an Officer (1828) Market Street and El Dorado Street, Civic District
Officers were attempting to fingerprint the suspect at the police department when he became combative and struck an officer. Force was used to restrain the suspect. ARRESTED: Jose Sanchez, 26, for public intoxication, resisting arrest, and battery on an officer.
3. Assault with a Deadly Weapon on an Officer (2100) Wilson Way and Miner Street, Park District
An officer was in his patrol vehicle in the area when he heard a gunshot. A bullet struck a nearby business next to the officer. The officer was not injured and did not see who had fired the gun. There is no suspect information.
