In April 2025, StorQuest Storage in Camarillo reported numerous storage unit break ins and a utility trailer stolen from the facility. These units and trailer belonged to tenants renting space from the storage facility. The Camarillo Investigations Bureau promptly launched an investigation. With the assistance of StorQuest, surveillance footage and witness statements, detectives identified Erica Hull and Oscar Rodriguez as suspects responsible for the burglaries and auto thefts. Furthermore, Hull was found to be renting a storage unit at Storquest that contained suspected stolen property. On April 4th, 2025, detectives executed a search warrant at the storage unit rented by Erica. Detectives were able to identify numerous stolen items linked to multiple victims of the storage unit burglaries at StorQuest. With the assistance of Ventura Police Department Investigators, detectives identified an apartment within the city of Ventura where Erica and Oscar were temporarily residing. On May 7th, 2025, detectives contacted and arrested Erica and Oscar in the 60 block of West Thompson Boulevard in the city of Ventura, CA. Following the arrests, detectives from the Camarillo Investigations Bureau executed a search warrant at Erica and Oscar’s apartment and uncovered additional stolen property and illegal narcotics. The stolen property was determined to belong to multiple victims of the burglaries at StorQuest. (S) Erica Hull was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, burglary, and the unlawful taking of a vehicle. (S) Oscar Rrodriguez was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for 5 out of county felony warrants, conspiracy to commit a crime, and unlawful taking of a vehicle. Investigators believe these suspects are responsible for numerous storage unit burglaries and the unlawful taking of trailers across Southern California.
