CRIME ALERT 
The Stratford Police Department is asking the public to BE ON HEIGHTENED ALERT after a burglary to an occupied home occurred overnight on Thursday May 8, 2025 at around 12:30am.
The crimes occurred within the 200 block of Wykagyl Road, with the suspect entering the home through an unlocked door.
The Stratford Police Department is asking homeowners, on all residential streets between Laurel Road and Colby Avenue to review any home video footage / activations and provide anything out of the ordinary to the Stratford Police using our [email protected] email address.
More specifically, we are seeking video footage or any witnesses who may have observed the below described suspect, overnight, likely between 12:00am – 2:00am
- Black male
- 6' tall
- Larger frame
- Black hooded sweatshirt, possibly displaying an unknown logo on the front
- Dark sweatpants
- Nose ring, perhaps shiny
Please be reminded to ensure all doors and ground floor windows are kept secured, keep outside lights on and be on heightened alert for any person, whether on foot or in a vehicle during the overnight hours.
